I'm Martin Toth, a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist serving the NC High Country from Todd, NC. I work directly with older adults and their families on aging-in-place assessments, modifications and handyman work, property watch, and home transitions — one local professional, one relationship, one phone call.
What I do: Aging-in-place assessments. Modifications and handyman services. Property watch and seasonal home management. Home transitions and downsizing support.
Who I serve: Older adults and their families across Watauga, Ashe, Avery, Alleghany, Mitchell, and Wilkes counties — including out-of-area families and seasonal residents.
How it works: One local professional, one point of contact. For work outside my scope — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, and permit-required exterior modifications — I coordinate with or refer to appropriately licensed contractors. Start with a free consultation.

About Martin
Martin Toth has lived in Todd, NC for over ten years. An avid hiker, backpacker, and gardener with deep roots in the High Country — including rebuilding after Hurricane Helene in 2024 alongside his neighbors.
The idea for High Country Senior Services came from his front porch. When a neighbor lost her husband and found herself without a support network, she showed up at Martin's door. He helped her navigate what came next. She became his first client.
He spent over a decade building programs across 16 NC counties — coordinating, advocating, and showing up consistently for people who needed support. I live here. I work here. I'm not going anywhere.
